Overview
I worked with Bauer to create high-performing paid social ads across their product categories, including skates, sticks, training tools, apparel, and gear. I also developed ad creative for athlete collaborations, celebrity partnerships, and branded apparel lines like Bauer x Lululemon.
Problem
Bauer needed to optimize their paid social strategy to drive engagement and conversions, particularly during key sales periods like Black Friday and Cyber Monday. With a wide product range catering to both elite athletes and beginners, the challenge was creating compelling visuals and messaging that resonated across different audience segments.
Solution
By collaborating with the strategy team, I analyzed performance data and tested various ad formats. Our findings revealed that grid-based layouts and USP-driven messaging were the most effective approaches:
Grid layouts allowed us to showcase product collections, multiple angles, and contextual elements, enhancing engagement and product discovery.
USP-focused ads emphasized key differentiators such as customization options, premium materials, and performance benefits tailored to different skill levels and audiences.
These insights informed our creative strategy, leading to more targeted, high-converting ads. During Bauer’s busiest season in Q4, this data-driven approach contributed to record-breaking sales, particularly during Black Friday and Cyber Monday promotions.
